ALLISON SCHACHTEL (ASSOCIATE)

Allie Schachtel is a high school counselor in New Jersey with over seven years of experience of working with students and families. Allie has provided guidance to hundreds of students as they navigate complex issues such as academic planning and preparing for college. Her strengths include helping students with the college search and application process and she enjoys creating relationships with admissions representatives and colleges as she has toured over 100 schools during her tenure.
She is passionate about helping students who are starting a new and exciting chapter in their lives. As a current school counselor, Allie is very strong in offering meaningful, practical advice for students and families, understanding what it is like in the school setting for these young adults and being able to work in tandem with their schools and families.

KATIE PERRY (ASSOCIATE)

Beside having the coolest name ever and being a fellow Terp like Jenna, Katie Perry is a full-time independent college counselor on Jenna's expanding team. She who also works side-by-side with Jenna to help with daily operations and expand her team. Katie has been shadowing Jenna for nearly two years and is working towards her Independent Educational Consultant Certification from the University of California, Irvine.
Katie is a highly motivated and organized individual who has a passion for helping students choose the next step in their education. Without much guidance, Katie remembers how overwhelming the application process was during high school, so her goal is to make the process manageable and stress-free for her clients. She also had a college counselor so additionally understands the value and connection.
Katie’s strengths include developing relationships with both students and parents, essay writing, and project management.
Prior to joining Jenna’s team, Katie worked for the University of Maryland Alumni Association. She then worked in the events industry as a Client Relationship Manager for an educational advisory firm. Her main focus was creating partnerships with professors and universities throughout the country so higher education has always been a passion of hers.

AMY CALZONE (ASSOCIATE & WRITING COACH)

Amy Calzone has been a NJ High School Educator for 11 years. She teaches English and AP Language at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, NJ. Full of energy, Amy thrives on helping students achieve their dreams! (And her record shows!) She has a knack for crafting college essays and is able to get her students unique personalities to shine through their sophisticated word choice and polished style!
Amy attended Seton Hall University as a Triple Major (Education, Special Education, and English!) and graduated in 2009. She earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey.
Her passions extend beyond the classroom and she has been directing and choreographing theatre throughout the country for over 15 years. As a dancer throughout her childhood and young adulthood, Amy's enthusiasm for the Arts continues to flourish in her career and personal life. She also has helped many students to pursue very successful careers in the performing arts.

EVAN GERSTEIN (ASSOCIATE)
Evan is a University of Michigan graduate where he studied Political Science and History. At school, he participated in Mock Trial, was a Campus Day Leader, and played club hockey. Evan now serves as a full-time independent college counselor on Jenna’s team. In addition to working with his clients, Evan also is currently completing his Doctor of Education at Vanderbilt University with a focus on Higher Education Leadership and Policy.
Evan is a passionate advocate for helping students gain access to post-secondary education. He believes that college is one of the most important decisions a student can make in their academic careers, and he loves working with students and their families to make the best choice possible. As a high schooler, Evan also utilized an independent college counselor to help craft and shape his college plans, which enabled him to apply to all his schools early, avoid deadline crunches, and fulfill his dream of attending Michigan like his dad and sister! Evan loves to work with students on making the best set of deadlines to accomplish all goals, stay open-minded in the college search, and unraveling the complex web that is the college admissions process. Prior to joining Jenna’s team, Evan worked as an admissions counselor for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Michigan for several years. He later traveled to Nashville, TN, where he got his M.Ed. in Higher Education from Vanderbilt while he worked as a post-baccalaureate and graduate school admissions coach, working with students who were applying to graduate school and prestigious scholarships like Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, and Fulbright! Since his M.Ed., Evan worked for the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in graduate student recruitment and admissions. DIANE SHULMAN (BUSINESS MANAGER)

Diane, also known as "Momager", works in close coordination with Jenna on a day-to-day basis. She is responsible for numerous administrative functions, such as preparing payroll, records for financial information, personnel and other data. Diane manages the processing of all accounts receivables and processes monthly reports. Diane assists colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so to ensure a well-run business. Jenna would truly be lost without her help and expertise!
